Launch Team Plans
I have participated in over 340 Launch Teams since 2011 when I began reviewing for Launches with WaterBrook Multnomah, a division of Penguin Random House Publishers and remain on their team to this day. I’ve also been on other publishing company launches as well as teams run by individual authors. I’ve participated on launch teams that were extremely successful and others that were definitely not!
From the knowledge and experience I’ve acquired, author friends have asked me for assistance with their teams over the last several years. And that is how The Launch Team Geek evolved. I now work directly for authors and their launch teams. I’ve managed authors’ teams myself and also helped several authors organize and assist them run their Launch Teams. I’ve been able to find a sweet spot I feel is effective to run an efficient launch team.
I offer three types of plans to help authors in what best fits their needs: 1) the Train Me Plan, 2) the Short on Time or Quick Launch Plan and 3) the Manage a Full Launch Plan.
Train Me Plan
Do you have knowledge of creating graphics, keeping momentum going with a team but need some guidance on when to do what during a launch process? I offer one-hour Zoom sessions to answer the questions you have on where to get started and then where to go from there. If you need a little extra assistance on getting started with your Launch Team, I can help you! Whether you want one hour or several hours, this plan can assist you with managing a launch team session.
Quick Launch Plan
This plan is for the author that will launch a book within the next month or so. In this plan, here is some of what I will do for you over a three to four-week session:
- A Zoom call with author to walk through quick launch session process.
- Create an application for the author to place in their newsletter and or social media to gather a team to help spread the news of the release.
- Provide weekly graphics with clear instructions to the team via email only.
- Educate and equip team on proper reviews.
- Encourage team to leave reviews where the book is listed for sale by author or publisher.
Manage My Team Plan
So what is in this “Manage my Team” plan? Here are a few highlights of what I will do:
- A Zoom call with author to walk through launch session process.
- Create an application and use specific parameters to select a team and include the author in the final selection.
- Create a Launch Team application and give author the application link for their newsletter or social media sites to advertise the team search.
- Use two forms of communication with the team regularly.
- Create and provide several specific shareable graphics for the team to promote the author’s book.
- Consistently check in and cheer on the launch team. I love this part!
- Instruct the team on social media posting dos and don’ts.
- Help team understand proper review strategies.
- Discuss with author team incentives, end of launch session swag,
- Engage and pump up the team on Amazon review day!
- Be available via email for the author and the team for any questions that should arise during office hours Monday-Friday 9am-4pm EST.
Full Launch and Crew Plan
This plan is the Quick Launch Plan and Full Launch Plan combined. In this Plan you will have the benefit of having the Full Launch Team working through the Facebook Group as well as the Email only Crew sharing text and graphics one to two times per week during the launch session.
