Fourteenth Blog-Aversary!

Blog Post 1-11-25

Today represents the fourteenth year I have been writing or blogging in some way. As I was spending time looking through old blog posts in my computer, from my first blog I had on blogger over the years, I came to the conclusion that I love to write. I mean, I really love to write!

Whether I’m sharing a funny story, a deeply personal one or a post to encourage whomever would read the post—I long to bring a smile or two to someone who lands upon my posts.

We’ve all gone through some very rough years over the past few, myself included. Where I thought I’d be regularly posting here on my blog within my website, life circumstances have made that non-existent. Last year was a rather tough one for me. There were many blessings, don’t get me wrong, but there were some things that brought me to my knees. If you know me, you know I have a bum knee—those were not fun times!

While I’ve been in and out of writing on this blog, I’ve been busy writing as a Team Member for other blogs, managing book launch teams for authors, and even completing my very first book, then saw it published November 2023! Now, it’s time to come back to my writing…I’ve missed it here. 🙂

Next week I’ll be sending out my monthly newsletter. I’ll be sharing some of the highs and lows of the year with my subscribers, and as usual, will be dishing up some funny instances from the year. I’ll be candid on the not-so-funny, but offer up the good I saw after God brought me through it. Make sure you’ve signed up for the newsletter if you don’t want to miss the antics for 2025! As for the blog posts for 2025, like the famous line from Independence Day …”Hello Boys (and girls!), I’m baaaack!” Looking forward to sharing with you and having some fun along the way this year. Boy, I’m ready for fun, how about you?

So – Happy 14th Blog-aversary to Tickled Pink Tammy, the name of my first blog address started on January 11, 2011! I’m still writing and my goal for 2025 is write even more. Hope you’ll come along for it all.

Tenth Blog-aversary!

Happy Blog – aversary to me!

Today marks ten years since I began writing. Well, writing for other eyes to see the words I’d scribbled down on paper. On January 11, 2011 I started writing on my first blog TickledPinkTammy.Blogspot.com. That was a mouthful to tell someone when they’d ask where they could find where I write.

At that point, the blog morphed into this website where’s there’s a little more than just a blog. And a much shorter web address. Thank goodness.

Life happened as it does for us all, and I wasn’t always writing on the blog. Well, on my own blog anyway. Some of the guest posts I’ve done were on blogs or websites that are now long gone. I’m still writing on other sites and have added a tab up top called My Writing. When you click on the tab, you’ll go to the page where I’ll list those other places I’ve hung out and shared some thoughts.

But now I’m coming home in 2021! If 2020 taught me anything (and it taught me a lot!), it’s the importance of family and friends—both very dear to me. And you are that to me as well.

You’ll see more from this blog and a new addition to my work, a newsletter. In the newsletter I hope to encourage you, share some fun and funny topics, and maybe even a recipe or two! I’ll keep you posted on the progress of the books I’m writing and share the books I’m currently reading or have read that I would recommend you read, too.

I hope you’ll sign up for the newsletter and stay connected. I will not be sending you a newsletter email every day. You’re welcome. HaHa! But I’ll send at least one a month and on occasion another one or two if there’s something exciting I just can’t wait to share.

Happy Blog-aversary!

Eighth year of bloggin!

 

Wow! It’s hard to believe, but as of today, I’ve been out in the cyber world blogging for eight years. Well, at least the blog is eight years old! I truthfully can’t say I’ve been blogging for eight.

Last year, I decided to take a one year sabbatical from the blog. I spent the time attending writing conferences, taking webinars and a lot of time praying for direction from God. I’ve learned a lot of things, I’ve written a lot and I’ve also enjoyed posting on other blogs as a team member.

Although you haven’t seen me here, I’ve still been out in the world wide web we’ve all become so accustomed to meeting with each other.

But alas, the sabbatical is over. And I’m glad to be back here with you. I will be doing some changes and updating because while I was gone, some changes have been made to the site many of us use for our web hosting.

I’ll be adding a newsletter to the site and will let you know when that’s here. All this technical stuff, right? I’d rather just meet you across the table and share a cup of tea or coffee and visit with you. But since that’s not always easy, we will just have to take this avenue for that.

Looking forward to 2019 and spending time with you all again.
