Five Minute Friday—LIVE!!!!!

Yes, tonight I am actually doing a Five Minute Friday with 70+ other Five Minute Friday Bloggers – LIVE!!! We are gathered with 400+ other Women Bloggers at Allume in Hershey, PA!!!

We are all awaiting the “word of the week”…So here we go!

START

VOICE
So, here is our word and we were just told to GO!!  Voice!
Wow, when I think of voice, the first thing that comes to my mind is that I would go absolutely crazy if I lost my voice.  When I have lost it during a cold or flu, it seems to be the one thing about the sickness that most bothers me.
Why?
Because I love to talk.  Without a voice, it can be difficult for someone who is a chatty cathy!  I remember when I was younger my father would say – would you JUST. Take. A. Breather. Even a little one.  And unfortunately this happened often.  As an only child – there was never siblings to share that voice with, so it was shared with anyone who would hold still long enough!  If they moved, well, I would just move with them!
I have aged since that time.  Quite a bit, in fact.  But I still have that desire to use my Voice!  Those of you who know me personally can certainly attest to that!  
Voice – it’s a beautiful thing.  Unless of course you are my hubby, stuck in a car with me for a long ride to this conference.  There was a lot of Voice on my part being used on the drive, today!  
No, seriously…so much to say…so much Voice to be used…and so many miles to use it!

It’s A Busy Friday Over Here In Tickled Pink Land!

Uh huh, it sure is!  Not only is it Five Minute Friday where a large group of us writers receive a word then write for five minutes flat with no corrections (ugh) – I’m also out and about in blog land again!  I love when I get to go “visit” and share with my writing friends’ readers.  I have met some really fun new ladies this way.  And this Five Minute Friday has been a total blast as well!  It so reminds me of my favorite class in high school–creative writing.  I told about that story in the second paragraph of this post — click here!

So – without further ado, here’s my Five Minute Friday:

START

LOOK
LOOK!  Have you every paid attention to how many times people use this word?  I mean, seriously think about the last time you’ve heard it!  I use it a lot.  I am often caught saying, “LOOKy here!” or
“Hey, LOOK over there!”  Like right now – I’m going to say this:
LOOK  OVER HERE!!! I am out visiting in Blog land again and I’d love for you to come over and LOOK!  See, I did it again, I used that word.  And think about this, how often do we point to something when we say, LOOK?  A lot.  Or when we are trying to make a “warm” point to someone we are discussing something with–“Now, LOOK here…”.  We usually have our hands at attention or a finger pointing to the person to make our point. LOOK seems to be a word that you need reaction to, whether you physically LOOK or you pay attention when someone says LOOK here.
For fun this weekend, see how many times you or people you are around actually use the word, LOOK!

Now LOOK, don’t you even think I’m not going to try to use the word LOOK as many times as I can now that I’ve got you thinking about the word LOOK before I sign off!  AH!  LOOK, I did it again.  Maybe Britney Spears should change that name of her song – “Ooops, I did it again” to “LOOK, I did it again.”  Whaddya think?!

I’m Traveling in Bloggyland Again!

Happy Monday—no, it’s not an oxymoron, gang!  It can be Monday and it can be happy!

You know from time to time if you have been around this little corner of my bloggy world, that I get out and about and guest post on my friends’ blogs (and they on my blog as well.)  Today happens to be one of those days!

My friend has a great blog about writing.  If you are a writer, blogger, journaler or hey – you’re like me and just love new pens, markers and pretty papers–you will want to check out Michelle’s blog.  Ok, so if you don’t write – you still need to pop over there.  Why?  For one – it’s a really cool looking site and second – I’m over there today, so you won’t find me here!
