Happy Anniversary To Tickled Pink!!!

I can hardly believe it’s been two years since I opened up this blog and opened up my world to all of you who follow along! It has been a blast chatting with you and sharing “stuff” that goes through my head! Sometimes it has been a memory or two that brought me to giggles again, sometimes a memory that was not so funny. Nonetheless, I have shared a little about me and you, in turn, have done the same.
I am grateful for each of you who pop in here whether you comment or not. Though I LOVE when you do comment, then it let’s me converse with you and find out a little about you, too!
Two years ago today, I posted my first blog post And Here We Go! It was sketchy at best, but it opened the door out into the blogsphere! I have to tell you that it has been a blast. I have met so many great people through this endeavor and I can’t imagine the last two years without it!
I have some stories ready to throw out here for 2013 and even better, I have some giveaways lined up that you will want to make sure you watch for!  If you haven’t logged in over on the side to be a follower or subscriber, now might be a good time!
Even though it’s “Tickled Pink’s” two year anniversary I’m celebrating today, I want to give one of you a gift. BUT, you will have to go down to the comment section to be entered!  I have a gift package that I want to give one of you that will be randomly selected on Sunday evening. So here’s what you need to do to be entered:
Go to the comment section below and enter your first name and tell me the favorite gift
you ever received – EVER! If you have two, well, okay – I’ll allow two!
Leave your comment by midnight Saturday, 1/12/13 to be entered.
And here’s the package for this Anniversary Giveaway:
Matching mini notebook, list pad, cards, pen, votive holder & manicure set

Again, Happy Two Year Anniversary to “Tickled Pink” and a huge “Tickled Pink” thank you to each and everyone who pop in over here in my happy pink world!

  1. Congratulations Tammy! I’m so proud of you. For someone so quiet, it amazes me how much you have to say.
My favorite gift of all time is being blessed with these two girls in my life. Next week we get their brother, so they can begin a healing process of their own. (so that’s really THREE gifts!)
Keep up the good writing, you make me grin.

    1. I’m really excited for you, Janice. You will certainly be kept on your toes with three now! But, I’m thinking you may also be gaining helpers for the studio! Just sayin’!

    1. Oh and my favorite gift ever? Well….It’s weird. But my favorite gift ever is my wedding ring set. It had belonged to my mother in law and after she died her sons (my husband and brothers) found it and decided that I should wear it. I am honored. It’s beauty is amazing moreso because her Spirit before the Lord when she was alive touched so many lives and it’s a legacy I wish to honor.

  2. EVER??? WOW! The one that pops into my head first is the pair of earrings my husband gave me on my very first Mother’s Day. Our son was 9 days old, and somehow, he snuck out to purchase tiny diamond earrings (our son’s birth stone). When he presented them, he said, “You are not allowed to cry if you lose one. Earrings get lost.” I’m not sure if I loved the earrings or his thoughtfulness more. And yes, I did lose one about eight years later.

  3. By the way, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!! I jumped into memory mode and forgot to say it with my first comment.

My second favorite gift… since I’m commenting twice… is the flowers a friend sent to me for my un-birthday. I had written a post about how we make such a big deal about birthdays when the unbirthdays are just as precious and she sent me unbirthday flowers. LOVE!!!

  4. Happy Anniversary Tammy and Tickled Pink!!! My all-time favorite gift would be what I received from my husband in April 2012 for our 30th wedding anniversary. We had previously agreed to re-newing our vows this year; he just didn’t know where the ceremony would take place. We were originally married in a town close to my home….so I contacted the Madison County Historial Society (his hometown, Winterset, Iowa; home of John Wayne and the movie “Bridges of Madison County”). I had his ring re-sized; he hadn’t worn it for quite a few years because of his job with a utility company and we all know how our fingers “expand” over the years. On the morning of the ceremony, he still did not know where we were going, I said, Well…since I don’t know how to get there, please take me to the Roseman Bridge!! Awwwwwwww, he says!!! The day was over cast, the grass was a brilliant shade of green, the water was rippling underneath the covered bridge and the pastor gave an AMAZING vow-renewal ceremony–we were both in tears throughout! I gave him his ring and he brought out THE most beautiful NEW wedding ring set that was four times the size of my original one! I was speechless! I think the vow renewal was an awesome experience, to re-dedicate ourselves to each other, to look back where we had been, and to look to our future with God in the middle!

    1. Sherry, that was absolutely beautiful! I teared up just reading it! But then, I’m a mush for a great love-story!! I, too, got a new wedding set for our 30th anniversary in 2011. Cool!

  5. Happy 2 Years, Tammy! When you mentioned best gift ever I thought of my baby girl, born 6 1/2 weeks early and me with severe pre-eclampsia. We weren’t sure if either of us would be okay, but God provided so beautifully and now she’s a happy, totally healthy 4 year old and a joy in our home. We named her Hope to remember that no matter how bad things get, with God we always have Hope.
Looking forward to a great year ahead! Best wishes to you and all your writing adventures!
